The day before Ray's surgery, we thought about the fact that baths were going to be few and far between with a cast and very quick when they did happen. Perhaps a haircut was our best bet. Lill's hair had gotten pretty scraggly and in need of a trim too. So, I called and made two appointments for after nap. Lill did great with her first haircut (though she was a few months past two years old at the time) but she's become a lot more 'aware' since then. We had Ray go first, hoping his chill self would show Lill that it's no big deal. No such luck. Our two 30-minute slot appointments turned in to a 15 minute ordeal. ha!
He was concerned and confused from the get go. A few tears and some Mickey Mouse Hot-dog dance videos and our blond, mullet-haired, baby was a handsome little man. Literally, just like that, it was like he aged a whole year.
